If you asked someone of my age what they wanted to become when they were older, They would probably tell you some profession like a doctor, or a lawyer or a pilot. But not me, I wanted to be none of those. I never thought about it like that, never gave my career a serious thought. I did so because I didn’t want to expect more that I could achieve. Expectations can bring you down and make you forget about the things you already have. I was always scared of this notion of achievement, I have seen people be blinded by ambition, like they cannot see anything around them but where they want to go. In this race you forget to be thankful of the little things, for this reason I am glad to be a metal sheet cutter. This job keeps me grounded it helps me realize what I have, a simple meal after all the work tastes better than anything served in an expensive restaurant.
